I am struggling to think of a card in recent MMA history (or ancient MMA history) with as many relevant fights across the board as Affliction: Banned.
There are literally a half dozen matches with serious implications for their divisions worldwide. And the crazy thing is, you can wait a few months and just mix and match the opponents for another great card.
And it doesn't hurt that the event has a killer trailer.
This is not a card filled out with Jorge Gurgel and Kendall "Da Spyder" Grove fights. Aleksander Emelianenko, who despite not being his brother, could step into the UFC heavyweight divison and be an immediate contender...is on the undercard. An Aleksander fight is not headline news but it does have at least some implications for the heavyweight division - more than most of what is going on with the UFC HWs right now.
